If i get my friends xbox live account and i download his legally brought black ops map pack to my HDD can i play the DLC on a different xbox live account?
anyone tried doing it before?

Yes, it doesn't work. They wont work on any other account as they are DRM locked.

also wtf that gay..howcome people an do it on the ps3 then? my friend keeps boasting about how he downloads DLC off different peoples PSN accounts and how he can play them unlocked with his own account

b1gh3ad i think you should get rid of your xbox 360 and buy a ps3 and then do what your friend does. at least then you would not be on here posting another stupid and pointless thread or giving people totally wrong advice like your other threads. you could be in the ps3 section then annoying the them poor fellows and us decent folk here in the 360 section would not have to read your cr*p any more. like nike said just do it!

yes you can, it works fine, but you would need to strip the first account down of all information apart from licensing information and then you login into that account on a second controller and play the game. that's piracy though

The PS3 allows content sharing on up to 5 (I think) different PS3s, but that's supposed to be used only if you own more than 1 PS3. It wasn't designed for piracy purposes and that's against the T&C, although people do use the system so they can illegally share content.
The 360 DRM ties DLC to the gamertag that paid for it, and the console it was downloaded on. On the console that the DLC was downloaded on, any gamertag can use it, online or offline. You can use the DLC on any other console, only when signed into Xbox Live with the gamertag that originally bought it.

the only way this works is if you BUY THEM ON YOUR CONSOLE WITH HIS GAMERTAG. then he can go home and recover his gamertag and yall both can play buy he will not be able to play the maps offline but most people just wanna play them online. I know this because I downloaded the 1st map pack on my console, got on my friends, redownloaded it and we could play split screen but when I went home he couldnt play them so if you wanna buy them and share with a friend, buy them on his xbox with your gamertag, then go home recover your gamertag and download it on your console...this is the ONLY way it will work. and its not stealing microsoft gives you TWO LISCENSES!
