I just joined Leaf too. I added some of you as friends.
My sons look forward to playing games on Leaf with you guys soon.
We have quite zippy internet service so I hope it goes well.

Im guessing this is pretty much like Kai-Xlink? if anyone remembers that or has used it before... same concept it lets you play together through system link and such so you can have kool multiplayer matches and such! only thing that sucks is it only works for certain games...

it will work with any game... all you need is the right network and a simple program and you can play any game system link. Even ones without online like Halo1 as long as you can system link play it.

yes any network changing programs and stuff make it work. if you find a good one with alot of people that is. You could always start your own using hamachi and Tunneling your network through the internet. As this is all those "new fangled" programs do but they know that games are going on cause they scan them and tell you the results....

I have looked every where and ever tried contacting leaf network support, but when I try to login to create a new user ID, I get this error:
The weird thing is that the only proxy server I've ever ran is for my PS3 (to not update), and it isn't running any more. I even tried to register with my other PC with the PC that ran the proxy turned off. I am positive I am not running a proxy but Leaf says I am... WTF! Sorry I am extremely frustrated and just spent the last 4 hours trying to get this to work...

try letting it run the proxy as this can't hurt anything but i will be honest with you when i did this there almost zero games being held like maybe 100 games and all random things and it was all friends that just wanted to play "online" with their banned boxes.

I was thinking that the best way to not get a banned Xbox in the first place would be to not hack or modify the system in a way that gives you a better advantage over other gamers, of course this would be the logical mans way of thinking.

How do i have a tactical advantage over another player because i can play backups of games and you can't. Just means i get to play games before you do but does that matter? does your skill in the game have a direct connection with our disks? no. My hacked xbox does not give me an advantage. If i had a jtag and was using super jump and no reloads with unlimited ammo and unlimited care packages then maybe this would be an issue but as of right now i see no problems with the fact i use copies. Also you don't think that your console being stock makes your movements slower too? Maybe your using a rapid fire controller on MW2 and still suck never know....but i do know your whining about my mod and yours is not.

I was recently thinking about getting a 360, a used though don't have money for new, but then I seen these threads and now I'm afraid I could buy one that has been banned. If I was to get one at a place like gamestop would they take it back? I almost would wonder too if ppl have tried after being banned, going into a place like that, buying a new one, and then putting there banned one in a box and taking it back and saying it didn't work or no longer wanted for whatever reason. Kinda like if you have a game no longer working, scratched, go in to gamestop buy the same title, then put yours in the case and take it back and say you want your money back because it didn't play?

There are serial numbers on the console and the box I'm sure, not got the box mine came in to check. I would imagine that with high value products like consoles that the serial number is printed on your receipt, I don't know if a cashier would check but they might, and worst case senario you get taken to court for fraud. They do scan the serial number on the 360 itself - there is a window in the packaging.
I was actually thinking about doing this with some of the broken 360s I have laying around but taking the case off the new working 360 (carefully keeping the warranty sticker intact) and returning it with the broken 360's hardware. I'm sure it will work since there is no way a cashier could tell without opening the 360 and even then they probably wouldn't be able to tell. I just don't have the balls to do it yet...

well there are many ways this can be done on leaf. but the max is supports is unlimited....

I was never able to get leaf going for some reason, and after hours I finally got xlink up and running. Xlink is pretty tight, cept for the interface is kind of retarded and there aren't enough players. I've got the ping patch and everything working though and I wouldn't mind helping some people out getting on xlink to help expand the community. PM if you want some help getting on.

xlink kai is probably the most user friendly, I have had success playing many system link games. try it out.
