You could, but as most of the forum members here recommend verbatim because of their reliability. Most other companies use cheap dye on their media (memorex being one of the worst). You may go through a stack of 50 verbatim discs and have zero coasters. Try a stack of memorex. More than likely, you'll have a stack of 50 cheap discs and have about 20 coasters out of those 50. Verbatim cost more, but are well worth the investment. So the answer to your question is yes, but wouldn't you rather have quality media that will last years and years?

yes but you could get bad burns and burn your xbox laser out faster using cheap discs. i use cheap dvd+r dl and not had many bad burns and 2 years later the box still plays them fine. just never burn to fast. i always burn at 2.4x

I primarily use verbs, but have tried ridata with no problems. With the old xbox I tried using cheap dvds when starting out, and would get lag with cut scenes, and disk errors a lot. I've burnt 100's of games using verbs and never had a problem. Just always burn at 2.4x.

verbs are the best of the best but really expensive, as the saying goes you get what you pay for. i use cheap but not to cheap. midrange price is what i go for

this topic had been beat to death in these forums, the thing that gets me the most of all is when people say verbs are expensive, i pay $1 per disc, how is that expensive? a new game costs 60 dollars, other brand discs always mess up, if not when you burn them, then later on as they are played.

i hope to use verbatim but Unfortunately it isn't available in my country likely so i asked this question and special thanks to tongs akamrmike billb and i know that i have to burn the dvds at 2.4 x
but is the cheape dvds can be harmful to my xbox ??

people say they can burn your laser out. just dont go for the cheapest or you will run in to problems with burning

guys i actually wanna use verbs but i told u that it's not available in my country or in the city cuz i live in egypt and i have bought a xbox and i wanna any other type of dvd to burn it can be available in my country , and verbs my frind told me that he have been bought it in an other country for 20 L.E really it cost so much !!!!!!! please help ..
