I have 2 xboxes, a banned and a regular. Can I transfer my achievements from my banned xbox to my regular one, or am I just better off just buying a memory unit and creating two separate profiles.

You can transfer a profile over yes. You will need to uncorrupt the profiles you want to transfer. There is a guide here:

You can also try and make sure both boxes have the 91xx kernel, then it may just work since the hard drive is uncrippled at that point.
