hi i've recently burned dantes inferno which wouldn't load and said disc read error so i've made myself the activation iso disc. when putting in the activation iso disc it say's open tray rather than play dvd. so obviously i still can't play the game. i've burned the activation disc correctly and followed the instructions. i'm not sure which firmware is on my xbox which i got reflashed a few months ago, but i'm sure it's 1.6. i've played bioshock 2 and darksiders this week with no problems and no need for the activation disc, so i'm stuck what to do.
please help because i'm dying to play this game lol

You aren't sure what firmware it is, but your sure it's 1.6?
That makes no sense.
Also, if you played Bioshock 2 and Darksiders without the disk, than you aren't on 1.6 unless you patched the waves on those games.
You need to figure out your situation a bit better yourself before anyone here can help you, as you contradict yourself multiple times in your explanation.
If Dante's said disk read error, then it's an issue with your copy of the game, not a firmware or activate.iso issue, as it would be seen as a DVD if it needed the activate disk.
I'd say it's very likely your drive you use to burn games is crapping out and will need to be replaced, as it sounds like Dante's didn't burn correctly, much like Mass Effect won't finish now.
