Activation Disk Question

I am not fully understanding how the activation disk works with v1.6

Here's is a scenario that would make this a little clearer to me.

If i made a backup copy of Red Dead Redemption and tryed to play it using the activation disk on a Samsung drive v1.6 would the game boot?

The reason I am not understanding is because according to abgx it will but, when i tryed this method with Metro 2033 the game would not load and went to the play dvd option as usual.

Also does v1.61 eliminate the need for the activation disk?

Yes, If the game is burned correctly. (your activation disc could be improperly burned. it needs to be burned to a dual layer as single layer.)

Your Metro 2033 may not be burned correctly. (your activation disc could be improperly burned. it needs to be burned to a dual layer as single layer.)

The actvation disc nees to be burned to a dual layer as a single layer.

Okay thankyou then i will redo my activation disk I followed the tut 100% correctly so its probably these mems.

They don't sell anything else in my area =/

Well i followed 5 different tuts on how to burn the activation disk none of them worked

I have a 1.6 Samsung drive

any ideas why it wont work?

Could it be that it only works on specific samsung drives?

Hmm, I'll have to keep an eye out for that. I've done 3 or 4 boxes with 1.61 (all BenQs), and none of those people have contacted me with any issues/problems.
