After dash update, Fable 3 works but AC-Brotherhood does not?

Hello all. I have a problem that I haven't been able to find an explanation for and I'm hoping someone here has some information. I have a 360 with a Hitatchi 79 drive flashed with 1.51 that has served me well for a long time. I never go online with it, nor do I intend to, so when AC-Brotherhood was released I decided to go ahead and let the dash update (my understanding at the time was that SOME Hitatchi's do not have AP2.5, so I decided to give it a shot).

Unfortunately, after updating I got the "Unable to read disc" error so I assumed my drive was not exempt, but when I put in Fable 3 after updating the dash it worked without any issues... How is this possible? If Fable 3 has the new protection on it, then why does it work while AC-Brotherhood does not?

I've tried searching the forums/internet for answers and while I've seen posts from people who experienced the same thing (all appearing to have Hitachi's), I haven't found any explanation as to why. I tried burning another backup and even patching to wave 3 (although I now understand that this has no effect after reading up more on AP2.5), but I still get the same error ONLY with AC-Brotherhood and not Fable 3... Anyone have a clue as to why? Thanks in advance!

you did not read well enough, it is true that MOST hitachi drives do not do ap2.5 but the 79 model does. so unfortunately you missed out by 1 number, the 78 model is ok.

Same thing here. Fable 3 when run through abgx isn't showing the 2.5 stuff either, and runs fine on my console even though it shouldn't according to the web.

This has been asked many times. Microsoft didn't use the AP2.5 flag that is present in Fable 3. It is there on AC-Brotherhood, NFS Hot Pursuit, and the new Hasbro game. They did implement the check on those 3 games.

it is on fable 3, if it wasnt then it would boot on the kinect dash with any drive. what isnt on the fable 3 disc is the new update itself.
