He said he picked it up. I would assume that means retail.. not only that but you must OWN the game you are backing up.
It's also wave 3 and not verified yet.

Cheers andmill11, I try not to assume, that's why I asked about the retail version ;)
I know the leaked game says it's wave 3 but there's a theory going around that the retail version will be wave 4 and that's how M$ are catching out who the dirty pirates are.

Oh really? I didn't know that.
I was waiting out on the game for it to get verified/people playing it without getting banned.

It's just a theory, could be total horsecrap, but I must admit it has me a little nervous.
Damn my impatient ways! If I'm safe this time I promise I'll be extra careful in the future :( (read into that what you will)

How does one check that? ABGX website or somewhere else? I've always wondered but never asked until now.

Well it looks like the retail is wave 3, so there's that theory out the window!

Semi Off-Topic:
If I burn this game as is (unverified) and play on Live, is it the same as waiting for the game to be verified and playing it on Live?
I'm not asking "is it safe," I'm basically wondering does ABGX do anything to the ISO itself and alter it?
I worded my question 2 different ways, hope it makes sense.

The non-scene release that was stolen by the scene group BoNkErS verifies 100%. No patching needed, so if you burned that one already you're OK (as OK as you can be anyway).
If you grabbed the scene proper from RRoD (apt name, lol), SS.bin is patched in the autofix process, then it checks out just fine, so you'll need to run that through abgx360 before burning it.
