today i came across a big problem with the aones my burner couldn't get the boundry info from the disc and wouldn't even recognise that the disc was present i tried 30 discs and they were all the same.i began to think there were probs with ny burner.
i did a little research to find out that they have changed the quality and this time for the worst they are know called aone premium as opposed to aone plus+ i went back to the shop and they had some of the old ones left i exchanged them and they worked straight away i have always used these discs as a cheap alternative to verbs and never had probs looks like back to the verbs unless anyone knows any different. despite what poeple say (aone are cheap crap media) like i say a problem has never arose till now.
hope this helps the poeple who do use these discs and haven't yet noticed.
anyone used these and have managed to burn them did you get problems on the second layer?

So they can save $3 a pack.
BUY VERBATIMS!
There is a reason why EVERYONE and their mother recommends them.
I suppose this is a good warning for anyone who is currently using Aone's successfully.

Dude, I rack my brain pondering this same question. If Verbs cost $100 for a 20 pack, I could justify trying to find a cheaper alternative, but the price difference is minimal.

im in the uk for one everything is so expensive the verbs are way overpriced and when you guys say crappy media the discs have
1 always worked up to this point
2 never had a bad backup
3 never not completed a burn
4 doesn't make stupid noises in the drive
5 never had to replace or adj laser in any of my consoles
6 when there scrathed they still work
7 and there nearly 95% cheaper
8 easier to get than verbs
9 save me alot of money as i dont live with my parents and have
other things my money is needed for i was simply pointing out this
problem to anyone like me that doesn't have wods of cash laying
around and need the cheaper option
i appriciate the comments thankyou but i think i justified my reasons for buying these discs.
i know verbs are the don and will be buying these its just the games are so expensive backing them up is too hell i might just take better care using my originals.

Thing with verbs is they tend to work well with most writers but if you can find a cheaper disc that works well with your writer then why spend more then you have to. I've been using Aone Preiums with my LG drive and not has a single failure and all read perfectly in my xbox.

I'm new to the whole backing up my 360 games idea, and have yet to get one game to work! (See my topic if you feel like helping lol) Firstly, I started using aone disks, and was getting no where, AGBX was throwing errors at me left right and centre! Since changing to Verbatim DVD DL's agbx gives me no errors what so ever.. just wont play on 360 now! lol!

why would it give you errors on either brand, you scan your games before you burn them, not after.

nice to see feedback poeple it seems to me if you go with everyone else eg pioneer burner/verb disc then thats ok
but we who go cheaper burner can use cheaper discs
also im interested to know what model lg is it as i took all the premiums back it seems the nec 4550a burner just doesn't get along with the neither does my pioneer.

verbs £2.48 each
aone £0.17 each
Lol, Verbatims only cost about $1 ea in australia, 2.48 pounds is $5 aud. Unless they cost 5 times more in the uk than australia that is not correct (which I doubt they do because aone discs in australia are a lot more expensive than 34c aud, so there wouldn't be a price difference of that much).
I've actually decided to buy my backups online from the uk, they're only £3 each, it works out cheaper when you add up the amount it costs to rent the game etc.

Yes, that's why we eat vegetables.
If you could buy a car that everyone hated and had problems with would you buy it over a car that everyone recommended?

It isn't, they have a good way around it. In uk it is legal to backup games you already own. But these sites sell (intend to sell)games to people that do not have the resources to backup the games they own, it's a smart way to break the law... anyway this is off topic.

all depends on the one you look at if its ok cars are a differnt story there are many mechanical and electrical items ie you can get good and bad food is food be all and end all not a fat load of differnce in the taste of a carrot!

What if i'm in international waters? Anyway it depends on how the backups are obtained and what their intended use is. It is legal to sell games to people who own an original copy and do not have the ability/resources to back it up on their own. Anyway, last time I checked it is illegal in most countries to backup games.

Quote: Dude, I rack my brain pondering this same question. If Verbs cost $100 for a 20 pack, I could justify trying to find a cheaper alternative, but the price difference is minimal.
Were did you get such a price figure, for 70 bucks I get 200 verbs DVD+R's. Even when I was in the UK last year the verb's were about 20% more expensive than here in the states store bought, thats still way below the quote you gave.
You can get Ty's and Verb's at places like supermediastore.com as I said for around $70 for 200, and at times even cheaper, and if you use DVD-R's they always have big savings on them.
I from experiance would never use any other brand besides ty's and verbs, this as a subject matter that has been discussed here at AD for years, way to many logical reasons why not to buy crap brands, no matter how much success youv'e had, and not because many people just say so, most here at AD that started blank media threads were no fools, these guys were experts, if you really care about quality and longevity I wouldn't mess with anything else. If you don't, than by all means stick with the crapolla's.
