I have just repaired my old xbox 360 rrd and fixed it! the problem is that the console is composite connection, no hdmi connection! the difference in picture quality is amazing from av to hdmi. So can you have some sort of converter from av only to hdmi or anything to make the picture quality better?
Component cables are capable of delivering 1080p (which composite as you've seen cannot). You probably wouldn't even be able to tell the difference between the two
i just got an elite with hdmi, and compared to my old xbox it is well good! lol
everything looks more colorful and stands out far more than standard av, hdmi is the way!

so any suggestions on how to get the picture quality better?
There are adapters, but honestly for the money you'll spend on adapters you could just sell the non-hdmi, pick up a hdmi rrod, repair it, and be ahead.

To be honest, any converter wouldn't give you the quality you want anyway. It would "upconvert" the 480i signal to 1080. It would look better, but still wouldn't look as good as component or HDMI would.
