hi all, i have a flashed xbox which was fully playing backed up games. i updated to the new dashboard today and now all my back ups are coming up as "play dvd" or "this is not a xbox 360 disc"

is there anything i can do to backdate? or am i going to need to re flash the drive?

i have no clue what to do next, really need help with this as im a noobie wen it comes to the xbox moding scene :s

Is the drive that you currently have spoofed? By that I mean, was the original drive replaced with a different make? This happened to a friend of mine, and he had to put his original drive (hitachi) back into his 360 for it to work. He had a spoofed benq in there, but as soon as he updated to the new dash, it acted the exact way you explained above. He's running 1.51 on live, and not banned.... yet...

nah, i flashed the drive that came in it, the samsung 1. cant remember what firmware i put on it tho. its just that all of the games id got worked, but now they dont, talking about 20 games :/

i forgot to say in my 1st post that i updated using a cd, which id put the update on from the xbox site... dunno if this makes a differance?

jst found out that the games will work if i take out the HDD, wud i b rite in guessing i need to patch the games differently to work with the update?

Whatever firmware you will need LT 1.0 on the samsung drive. it's the latest

please if your asking about xbox 360 firmware, LT+, how to cut and solder, what drive you have and such check this PDF file

i thought that has only been released for benq and liteon drives? also is there a way to update my firmware by cd? as i dont have my comp tower atm to reflash with

Regular LT has been released for the Samsung for several months now. It already defeats AP2.5 as the samsung drive can't read AP2.5, so it simply bypasses the check. Unfortunately, you have to use your computer to flash LT on it. There's no way to update your firmware via CD. LT+ was just released for the benq and liteon drives. The major difference being that these particular drives can do the AP2.5 checks, unlike the Samsung which can't. Just update like m4r0v3r says when you have access to your computer, and you should be just fine.
