Hi all, this is my first post here so hopefully i can get some help!
Im a newbie to the whole xbox modding scene. I have flashed my benq drive with the iextreme firmware. I downloaded Bioshock 2 and checked the stealth with agbx. I burned the .dvd file with imgburn on a memorex and a tdk dl disc but neither will play in my xbox. any suggestions?
Thanks for the help!

When you say "iextreme firmware", what exactly did you flash it with? Was it Lite Touch or iXtreme? If it was the latter, which version?

I used this tutorial to flash it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omBaZNSdE_k
I opened my xbox up and made sure of which drive I had first. The process said it completed successfully, I actually did it again after the discs wouldnt play and it still said it was flashed. Ive read in other forums that the ONLY disks to use are Verbatims. Ive always thought TDKs were good but neither a TDK nor a Memorex would play. imgburn burned the .dvd file ok though. I have also tried 3 different games that are region free. Thanks for the help!

Sorry, I meant which firmware did you install? What happens when you put the disc in your 360? Is it recognised at all? Does it come up as "Play DVD" instead of thinking it's a game?

In that case then, it could be that you've installed an older firmware that can't boot the latest games directly. Up until recently, iXtreme firmware had strict compliance with the video waves that games use and it could only boot games that were waves 1-3. For other games, you had to use a boot disc called activate.iso. Bioshock 2 is a wave 6 game, so if you have installed an older firmware by mistake, that's why it comes up as "Play DVD". One solution is to burn a copy of the activate.iso disc and use that (it has to be used every time you boot a game), or a better solution is to reflash your console with Lite Touch (if you want to play online) or a different version of iXtreme (offline only).
If you can check the version of the firmware when you get in from work, then we'll be able to confirm if that is definitely the problem. Load it into JungleFlasher and it should tell you what it is.

No problem mate. Make sure you get Lite Touch 1.1 for BenQ, because there was supposedly a bug in the initial 1.0 release.

That's your problem then. 1.61 was updated to add support for waves 4 and 5, but not wave 6 and Bioshock 2 is a wave 6 game, so even with Verbatims you're going to have the same problem.

Wave 6 boots perfectly fine on 1.61 without any problems.
