If i can remember correctly when 1.61 was released a short time later c4 re-released it claiming that the first release was unnoficial and had some bugs, everyone updated to the re-release and BANG the banwave hit and most 1.61 consoles were banned, i never bothered updating to the re-release and i never got banned ( maybe he left something out).

Did you get banned for having a mod console or for something else like market theft, selling servies(MW2 stuff), or repeat suspensions?

This might be a stupid suggestion as I am no expert.
After the last ban wave people were making spreadsheets and questionaires to try and find a pattern to the bannings. Would it not have been a good idea to flash some xbox's with the latest f/w and do different things with each to see which get banned.
Eg. Xbox1 only playing copied games installed to the hard drive.
Xbox2 installing originals to hard drive but using copies to boot tham.
I am sure there are a several different things that can be done. Asking people after the ban doesn't work as you don't know how honest people are being.
You would have to have a couple xbox's for each different thing for it to be a valid test.

Just to let everybody know. I flashed my 7xxx liteon with LT back in February. The console was never flashed before and was online since the previous May before being flashed. It was manufactured in March 2009. Anyway, I've played three backups on the console and online so far. One being Mass Effect 2. All rips are 100% verified on ABGX. Mass Effect 2's both discs verified fully with unofficial abgx update (Wave 5 and 6 compatible). Well I've updated to the newest dashboard version and I'm still not banned. So LT is either working extremely well or Microsoft won't initiate the next ban wave until September. Then again, not many people have been banned since the last ban wave so I guess we have to wait until the end of the year to find out how good LT actually is. Though, so far so good. I expect to be banned because I can't fully trust the unofficial update but I'll just stay offline from a month before Reach comes out until the end of the next ban wave. I'll then ring up M$ to see if my console can be repaired. If not, I'm banned and then I won't go online but sell my console instead. It's all good.

I'm curious to find out if anyone at all has become banned post flashing to LT, for any reason. I haven't heard of anyone yet. Anyone?
"All drives should be updated to Lite Touch + (LT+) firmware if playing on XBOX live. Samsung drives and pre-78/79 Hitachi drives do not utilize AP 2.5. All other drives are considered to be detectable by Microsoft (YMMV). Make sure all rips are ABGX verified, contain SSv2, and patched AP2.5 (where needed). XGD3 must currently be burned on new drive with PC Burner Max firmware for 100% rip. All modded consoles can be potentially unsafe for use on XBOX live."
