There have been mass reports that all banned consoles are capable of going back online today. Whatever the reason might be, it smells like trouble.

yep, i got a old banned console back online. i dont think its a big deal, as soon there will be no modded consoles on live, as updates will reflash drives back to orig state.

Yeah I just checked mine and its back online. As them being reflashed, you can always just flash them back to LT+ from what I hear. As tempting as it seems that system will be offline just like it has been since I first got banned.

Free weekend of live gold for silver membership is temporary,there was mention of the free weekend in another thread.If i recall correctly they do it every year

Well this is very cool. Only reason I see for MS doing this is just to update your console to try and stop backups. I'm sure they have something up their sleeve, right now we can just reflash with lt, but I'm sure after everyone gets back online they will issue an update that will not be so easily bypassed.

If Microsoft can flash your drive to 0225 by just making it a mandatory update, then we might as well give up flashing. They are gonna keep updating your drive before an actual CFW can hit the scene.

Microsoft updates the Xbox Dashboard twice a year, with an occasional update to FIX bugs, they have the Spring update, and the Fall Update, clearly there is PLENTY of time to fix everything MS could mess up within 6 months, and how about not installing the latest dash as soon as it comes out?

I have two banned consoles. One was banned in 2009 and one in 2008. Both are still banned.

Ive read some people saying they were unbanned before, but are now banned again. Found one person that was online and there XVAL still reported banned. Wonder if it was a hiccup in the system.

FREE gold weekend has nothing to do with a banned console on live, not that i know what is happening i know for a fact if your console is banned free live weekend wont let it back on!
