not to mention that it's pre-release.
i read some comments in the newsgroups where people were trying to join matches but said they couldn't cause the servers weren't up yet.

you would have to think to, these idiots are probably helping MS figure out how to detect modded systems. I mean, MS could be useing these people to test out differences in the firmware. You would have to assume 99% of the people online with it now are modded. Plus there just asking for an account ban. i don't see the point in play games early like this, you stand out!

Getting it early, i would assume gamestop or someone at the pressing line could snag it early.
Kreon rip, because this one only has SSv1. So you would assume its a Kreon rip because if it was done with a Xbox drive it would have SSv2.

yea why not? but the more boxes online, when they know there's a good chance its modded, it would just seem they have more data to work with.

Not completely true, i'd say it's 50/50 on being a kreon rip.
The older version of 0800 firmware does actually rip ssv1.

I would really like to assume that any recent SSv1 rip you see from a Scene Release team is infact a Kreon rip. If they did have a 0800 drive, I don't know why they would be running older 0800 firmware when they could take 5 seconds and upgrade to iX 1.6 0800.

Yup, I think that the kreon is slowly fading away.
And seriously, anyone who plays a game before it's release is obviously gonna get flagged for it. You may not get banned then, but you'll get a flag!
When I got tired of Live, I played MW2 online just to see how long it would take M$ to ban me. Lets just say I beat Veteran twice before the ban! Take that M$!

You see the only question I have is that I got the game a week ago or more and I understand that playing online before release is just asking to get banned. But now that the game is released and abgx is verifying the one that I got, can it be trusted to be patched and ran online? That's my worry. Thanks.

It's the chance you take. Everyone eventually gets banned. Doesn't matter if you go online or not.

Once you log back on live any time, it updates everything. There is no such thing as playing games offline unless you never go online at all.
