Well, I've used to hang around here a lot with the first xbox modding scene, but i forgot my username so now im back with this one
Lets just say my first 360 mod hasnt gone quite as smooth as the xbox 1 mods.
I was attempting to flash ixtreme 1.6 to my benq vad6038 and on the third step, flashing the new firmware, dosflash 32 just failed. Now, the drive wont even open and it's no longer recognized in the bios. I was thinking, and it makes sense it wont open, considering the drive has no firmware because i erased it in the previous step. I swear that erasing was a step in flashing, though. I've tried looking around and i couldn't really find a situation exactly like mine. I had already dumped the original firmware and drive key, which seems to be critical to have any chance at recovery, but i have no idea where to go from here.
Perhaps i just need to buy a new benq and im f*^ked?
The drive just doesn't have any firmware on it so it won't be recognized as a BenQ. Open up DosFlash32 again and it should send an Intro to the BenQ and it should respond with good flash chip properties.
