So i recently tried to flash my friends 360 for the 2nd time doing my flash, and me being new, didnt put in the av cables, just as JF was writing the xbox shut off and the drive is now stuck invendor mode, i know it is the drive for sure because i tried it in other xboxes and it does the same. I've tried removing the drivers for the sata card but when i do that it cannot detect the dvd drive, and i'm having lots of troubles with booting with dosflash, im in desperate need of help here.

IF JF sees it, then you're good. Just reflash to be sure the flash is good and send "outro" to get it out of vender mode.

You cannot use the drivers. Delete the viamraid.sys or rename it.

you cannot use the drivers. Trust me. Select the correct port or make note of it with the drivers installed. Even if it doesn't show up, do an intro and power cycle the drive. You should get a Ck3 or similar tool. Powering the drive with the 360 is stupid.

ok well i fixed the problem, but im curious, when you say power cycle the drive what do u mean by that? Also, what would power the drive? the ck3? i don't see the connection where the ck3 would get power from.

yes the ck3 would power the drive. What do you mean by power cycle? You always need to power cycle the drive when flashing just to get it in vendor mode. I suggest do more reading on flashing. You're going to end up bricking that drive.
