Benq Laser Problem

I replace my Benq laser lens. But now i cant get them to work. It wont read any games or even dvd movies. I think because the lasers dont turn on I dont see the red laser. Can someone tell me whats the problem.

have you got the ribbon cable that plugs into the laser in correctly?

Yeah i did. everything looks good except the laser doesn't turn on

remove the anti-static solder on the side of the laser. until this is off, it wont do anything.
