So Ive came to a total utter stand still with this benq drive spoofed as a 79. ages ago i got a old consoles that had a busted 79 drive in it
which i managed to get the key from, so i got myself a benq drive to replace the busted 79.
So i made a CFW in JF spoofed etc etc and boom the benq was a hiatchi like in tented. The drive works fine in my 360 but the problem now is i cant for the LOVE OF GOD
flash it back to benq Ive tried JF which sees the drive as a HL-DT-ST GDR3120L 0079 (as does BIOS) BUT wont do anything with it, like it wont go into mode b and am pretty much stuck at this point. Ive tried about a hundred different cables/connections. Only other thing i can add is the drive doesn't show up on device manager =(
Anybody got anything to add? Coz i sure cant think of anything else that would be causing this other than i did install windows 7 but that's it I tried xp on another pc still the same).
did you play the 79 unlock cd first, then attempt to get it into mode b? also, make sure you use that XP machine instead of win7. win7 is more of a hassle to flash with.

Ya i tried that but nothing happens even on tha xp machine. i pop the cd etc etc and nothing am starting to think its the drive that's iffy (noticed its a bit dented on top), ah well lucky ive still got me elite, thnx for tha input tho ^^
In this case your best option is to make a bootable USB drive or floppy disk with DosFlash16 loaded, boot into DOS with your bootable USB or floppy and flash it with DosFlash.
