hello folks,
I have my xbox 360 hooked to my samsung 42" hdtv using the packaged HDMI cable included.
I was just wondering if upgrading to a higher quality HDMI cable (like Monster or such) will improve the overall imaging or connectivity from the xbox to the tv?
thanks,
Deebo

No. The cable that you have is fine. Buying a Monster cable is known as highway robbery to most people so avoid them at all costs unless you like to flush money down the toilet.

no just a monster cable but an actual hdmi cable will be better than the one xbox provides. its how all other hdmi products are plugged in and you can get good 1.3 hdmi cords for like 10 bucks.i can notice a difference between the two but idk thats just me
I have a $60 HDMI from Sony that I got before I knew any better and on my 2nd 360 I have a $2.25 HDMI I got from China on Ebay the picture is the same lol
right on, thanks for the info, users! i checked out a major electronics store here in canada, and monster HDMI runs at about 90 bucks, 45-50 bones for rocketfish.
what a racket those Monster guys have going on. I bought a cable @ wal-mart for 20 and it works just fine. excellent even.
Calibrate your TV for best picture when using the 360 and try using YCbCr709 on the Xbox connections.
You also have the options standard, intermediate and expanded. Mess around with them until you get the one you like the most.
I cano't do alot more for hd cabbles then hdmi. hdmi is digital so it is eather a 1 or a 0, gold plating, thicker cabble and such are just pointless in hdmi. BTW i am surprised microsoft didn't make hdmi proriatary... i probably just gave them an idea
