I've searched for about 2 hours now in what seems to be a very large loop of vague information. I recently acquired a RRoD 360 that I repaired and has the old dashboard (with the orange screen). I would like to know what the best (most versatile) modchip is for the 360 right now in regards to installing homebrew.

My main goal is only really to run games off of an external high capacity HDD. Would someone be kind enough to nudge me in the right direction. Thanks.
