May sound a stupid question to the more experienced but i'll ask it anyway.

If homebrew becomes possible, there is no need for a blaster 360, as no data will be transferred to the DVD drive constantly, or nothing used by SATA?

You bring up an interesting prospect that I hadn't realized. If Linux runs on a 360, we can just flash our drives by booting into Linux and using a port of Jungle Flasher. You'd never have take the thing apart to update firmware again. Very cool.

Really? I'm fairly new to modding (xbox 360 is my first modded console) so I didn't know that this was possible. But I doubt that free60 site will release anything good anytime soon... they've had 9 months to make homebrew ffs, but instead they leave it until it's too late.

When the original xbox was out I was still in uni, so i was always busy studying and working. I might try one out, do you need any extra equipment to mod one?
