I must be pretty dumb cause for the life of me i cannot determine what happened. I have fixed over 20 rrods' with different error codes. I just bought a new xbox 360 placed it in my older custom case. I have a fan controller so what i did was take out the xclamps and do the rrod fix so that i may put the thermal sensors under the heatsinks. I then put everything back together and walla, RROD error code 0110. What the hell> I just bought this xbox. What on earth happened?

I think it could be because the board has been warped. I took out one washer from each screw between the motherboard and the metal case (thinking that three might have been too much. Now i am heating it thinking that it might bring the board back to life. If that doesnt work should i try putting back the x-clamps?

Ok i put the xclamps back on, and i get an error code of 0112. What does this error code mean>?

I did a google search and found this.
"This error is totally unknown, probably it is RAM related like 0110".

I think i need to buy another xbox.

Why did i have to mess around with a perfectly working xbox? lol.

You should reflow the motherboard. PM me if interested. Every motherboard that I have worked on with a Xclamp warps the motherboard. Xclamp is one of the worst fixes and ruins the motheboard over time.

I checked the error code again right now, and now its telling me 0022. Great this xbox now has all sorts of problems.

Well, it doesnt seem to be working. Should i just try a heat gun as a last resort? If that doesnt work than i will be buying a new one and selling this one. Thanks for the help everyone.

022 is gpu overheating. i would try the tension on the screws. you may have to overheat the board about 4 times in order for the heat sink to seat to the gpu. i would recomend consentrating your efforts to that chip though.

Id have a reflow done its cheaper then replacing the 360 and once done they dont usually go wrong again, mine has put up with ten hour sessions regularly for over a year and thats without an external fan, and it rarely gets hot really.

do not use a heatgun unless you want to destroy your motherboard. I use and own a reflow/rework station. PM if interested.
