I apparently thought I was fine when I dumped my 9504 with my lizard on 1.0.4 firmware. I then flashed with JF when LT was released and got an error. Long story short I found out that the firmware for the Lizard didn't dump the proper data and that I had to update my lizard firmware before hand and redump with that. I have all the files I need except for the serial.bin which I guess is what I need. Guess I'm screwed according to vgcrepairs and maximus. I have tried recreating the CFW with the files I have etc. No go. I may try and send it to M$ for a repair and hope I get lucky. Any thoughts?

Sounds like you rushed into this one. I'm not sure if you follow Maximus on twitter but here are their posts after the firmware was released,
1. "Congratulations to C4E for the 9504 LT Slim Fw release, we are working now on release a new TBX/gecko to handle it in the following hours."
2. "Gecko 1.07 and TBX B016 under testing by the betatester team, working very well so far. We r waiting more results before go public in hours."
3. "Positive response of the Beta Testers we are releasing TBX & GECKO 1.07 by 9:30 PM (GMT-6) Congrats to C4E for his Fair play on this release."
4. "Gecko 1.07, TBX B016 to support 9504 CFW are Public now, visit 360lizard.com on the NEWS page for full note."
Hope you was able to get the key off the drive. I do wish you the best because nobody wants to have a Slim as a door stop. Keep your fingers crossed and keep at it.

I think that will only get the drive back in vendor mode. I believe the FW is erased so I'm screwed. I did rush, but didn't care thinking my dump would save me if needed.
Again I have the keys but it's from the 1.0.4 dump and I'm told those are no good as they don't have all the information.

Assuming that the rules for flashing still fall in line with the old standards... I wouldn't give up hope for that drive.
MAYBE, you have enough information to rebuild a full serial bin from your own or somebody else's drive. I haven't dumped a slim yet with the lizard as I've only been playing with it for a few days now. If I do come across anything, I'll be keeping your particular predicament in mind while I research. Hopefully,(you might be able to build a serial bin from someone elses drive that may be compatible with yours, for instance, when people lost their old stock data from their drives and used a generic stock firmware to reflash back before updating to LT+, if you follow me)....we just need to understand this concept a bit more however.
Good luck bro.
"All drives should be updated to Lite Touch + (LT+) firmware if playing on XBOX live. Samsung drives and pre-78/79 Hitachi drives do not utilize AP 2.5. All other drives are considered to be detectable by Microsoft (YMMV). Make sure all rips are ABGX verified, contain SSv2, and patched AP2.5 (where needed). XGD3 must currently be burned on new drive with PC Burner Max firmware for 100% rip. All modded consoles can be potentially unsafe for use on XBOX live."

I was wondering the same thing if that is possible. Are the serial.bin's different?

I'm assuming so, considering the terminology they are using is "full serial bin,"...otherwise I don't see why they wouldn't have just used a general serial bin from all 9504 drives as part of the downloads to work off of, instead of having to read them from the drives themselves.
Does full serial data.bin contain reproducible drive information, is the question we should be asking.

After trying the lizard, I'm still favoring Lizard. There's just a small learning curve and it's still early on so there are going to be a few things to iron out. I am more than ecstatic about it the Maximus Lizard. Easily worth the money.
However, I just might pick up the xbox360usb as well to cover all of my bases. Why not?

myself i am feeling a little bummed about the lizard mostly for having to wait an additional 8 hours for the firmware pack, by the way c4eva made for us, but as far as buying the usbpro i have not decided seems like waiting a few more seconds does not justify paying another 60 dollars for another device, as far as the drive that is without keys, as a last result you may try to install the beta dash i am understanding that it re-flashes the drive that would cause backups not to work, but it may bring it back to life, if it does not you could at least contact microsoft and tell them that you installed it and now your machine does not work anymore?

I am in the same boat here. To me a dump was always a dump regardless. Now the other main thing I have read is the x360usb doesn't need clips for liteons as it has the PMT method built in. Is this correct? I hate the clips!

yes no more clipping is what i have read as well, its really disappointing but i hate to spend another 90 for the usb pro and the probe, i guess i'll be patient this time and wait for a price drop LOL

I thought the entire thing was under $60. I already have an xtractor I could use. If I can sell my lizard, I'm switching. Max has no intent of making it a PMT which you can do manually. Waiting for the gecko to release and dump issues pissed me off too much.

the probe III is 16 dollars, usb pro is 60 so thats 76 plus shipping if you want the complete kit, i will probably break down and buy it, going to wait until they are shipping with cases though, i had a really bad feeling about the lizard but they got my business with the not cut sell, i should have known that it would be widely available after its release.

Yeah I'm not a happy camper. I will think twice in the future for buying any maximus products. Bull crap that a dump in earlier FW is no good. Box was sent into M$ today for a repair. Hopefully they will fix the console for me. Anywhere recommend a good site to get that x360usb?

no i learned my lesson when i set here at my computer for 18 hours waiting on the firmware release, also when i received the lizard i was unable to flash hitachi's which was stupid why release something if it is not ready to be used. i've had a really bad experience with team lizard, lesson was well learned

how about this for the new fix. try updating to the beta dash, and maybe, just maybe the console will be able to flash the drive for you and update it to the 0272 firmware. that might be a fix for all those consoles people broke. this is all theory of course
