ok so i tried to flash my xbox 360 ms25 drive with jungleflasher which just locked up, after that i tried several other things in clouding flashing with DosFlash 32 which also locked up, so i closed it...bad idea it bricked the drive.

i have spent the last 2 weeks trying to find a way to fix it and i haven't been able to figure out how to do it. i know a lot of people have asked this before so sorry for asking but i just cant figure it out.

can someone please tell me what to do? i've order a sata card vt6421A so if i need that i will have it in a day or two.

Go to this site : http://www.360mods.net/index.php?name=Fo...iewtopic&t=2793

Use step 2 and follow the instructions very carefully! If the first thumb drive you use doesn't work get another one. My first one didn't work it was an A-data 8GB drive but the 2GB Kingston Data Traveler worked like a charm. I promise you that it will work if done correctly. Good Luck!

First I need some basic info. Did you use method two? Sound like you did. When you put the original firmware in the folder is the name matching up. What I mean is if you don't have the two folders made exactly how it states and the bin file name doesn't match for instance if you typed orig.bin as the file name it only needs to be named orig because the software already can tell it's a bin file. I hope I am helping you and not confusing you more as I know your frustration. I went through every tutorial I could find and this is the only one that worked. Let me know what you got going and maybe we can figure it out.

What version of xtreme boot maker are you using? Should be most recent and also did you check the boxes for bad flash compatibility and apply
Blokes patch for ms28 drives. Now I know it says ms28 but is is the same drive with updated firmware. So that shouldn't really matter. One more question did you plug the sata connection to your computer in right after boot up starts? If yes try keeping it connected from the start. I have had it work both ways. It just takes longer for the computer to get moving. Don't worry it wont totally freeze up. I know this sounds dumb but is the power on to your drive (if you using the xecuture tools).

Worse case scenario... you don't have your key and you've exhausted all other options, you can have your tsop desoldered and read.

If you're in the States and need it, you can pm me.

i got it to detect it by having the drive on and hooked up when i booted my computer but now it says:
drive scaned:
1: xtreme pri master
2: xtreme pri slave
choose one drive: (so i enter 1 should be it though i did try entering 2 as well)
port: fe00, master/slave: a0

and then doesnt do anything else ive tried the ten second trick but ive read it wont work unless u have VIA VT6421A SATA or similar which i ordered it just hasnt gotten here yet. is there any thing else to try while im waiting on the sata card? im current using on bored chip set intel(R) 82801gb/gr/gh (ich7 family)

and also i still have the original framwere and key i just cant get it back on the drive.

I'm all out of options. Get the via card and maybe that will work. I sure hope it does. Let us know when you get it.

The Sam board could very well be dead. That is a well known problem with them; just dying for no reason.
