I've been trying to extract lite-on key for a week now...My last attempt was dvdkey in DOS. After yet another unsuccessful extraction I decided to shut down the computer. Now, the computer won't start up.
I either get a blue screen that says "Kernel132.dll is possibly corrupt. The header checksum does not match the computed checksum." (Sometimes it might be one of a couple other .dll files instead of the kernel).
If there is no blue screen then it just loads normally, but then after the black windows screen it just stays black.
Has anyone else had this problem when having the 360 attached to PC?

I'm a complete newbie compared to most people on here, but do you think it could be a virus?

I did a quick search and found loads of results for Kernel32 but not 132, and found this

Maybe a spoofed process?

I don't know if it's a virus...I don't think it could be. It's been fine up until now. The only thing I was doing was trying to extract the key from my lite-on using JF, XtractorReader, and DVDKey. I wanted to try and run the windows CD and repair it but it won't even boot from the CD...
I'll keep trying stuff and report back on any progress incase someone else has this same problem when 360 is connected.

EDIT: Well, I no longer am getting the blue screens with .dll errors...It just hangs at the black screen that lists all the PCI devices. I couldn't load into "safe-mode" or "last known good config". I am now able to boot from CD (just started working out of the blue), so here comes a reformat...
