Burned games not working, help please!

I followed the information I could find in these forums. I have an .iso (Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit), burned it with ImgBurn, set the layer break and burned at 4x. My burner is an Asus DRW-241B1ST and I have Ritek DVD+RDL. The iso checked out ok in abgx, so I burned it and Imgburn said it burned fine. When I put it into my xbox 360, it loads the white Xbox 360 logo and just stays there. If I push the A button on my controller, it brings up controls as if the disc I put in was a movie, not a game.
What did I do wrong?

Im thinking that it *is* game specific. I just burned Monopoly Streets & Madden 11 and they both work fine. Im not sure how my xbox is modded, I didnt do it. I bought it that way.
I also wasnt aware that NFS: Hot Pursuit was a Kinect game. I guess I wont be playing that one.

Hey im sort of new to the downloading, stealth patching and burning xbox 360 games could anyone help me i have a big problem. every time i burn a game an put a game in my xbox it allways reads as DVD. the game plays as a DVD and i cannot play the game at all, please help if you have any information on how i can fix this problem ? thanks

NFS is not a kinect game, but you need the latest dashboard and also need to have LT+ on you dvd drive. The LT+ firmware came out a couple months ago. You need LT+ because it is the only firmware that can boot NFS and the newer games with AP25

Charlena, that is exactly what my NFS: Hot Pursuit would do. Apparently I didnt have the updated stuff to run it. The other 2 games I burned work just fine. I would suggest looking into and trying the updates they suggest.

i am assuming your drive is flashed, run your iso through abgx360, burn the .dvd file not the iso. check your layerbreak too it should be 1913760. burn at 2.4x or slowest speed, you can go faster but i wouldn't recommend it. when its done pop it in and play.
and update everything offline before.

Well I did exactly all that, except for updating everything beforehand. I need to find out which way this xbox was modded, chip or flash.

Just wondering, now that were talking bout NFS and the newer Ap25 games, do i need to run it through abgx even if im banned and im not worried bout security online? Or can i just burn it without running it thru abgx and still play fine?

Is there a link that will tell me which games require these extra things? For example, does the game Blur require new kinect dashboard and LT+ firmware flash?

depends on the TV and the region code of the game. use abgx360 to check region code (or lack thereof) and then if that checks out (to match your xbox) then just make sure your monitor/tv supports at least one of the outputs of your 360.
fyi, you cannot simply change region codes as you can with movies. there is more to it than just a code. so you're stuck with whatever it is.
