Burning 360 games.

OK, so i've been doing a bit of looking around the forums, for various things, i think i have my 360 ready to be flashed and i'm confident i can do that, but my current issue is the creating of back-ups afterwards.
I've gathered that imgburn is one of the better pieces of software to use so i'm going to download that, and i'm using Verbatim DVD+R DL discs, as i hear they are the best (and least likely to break your 360!).
So my question is, can i burn the discs with my DVD drive:
Optiarc AD-5560A?
I tried doing both a forum search here and google searches and the best i came up with was a "look for DL on the side of the player", which doesn't fill me with faith as i can't see it on the side.
So if anyone is more familiar with this drive/has success stories then that would be appreciated :)
Also does anyone know about bitsetting/booktype? and that jazz, because that's new to me, and apparently it makes a big difference and isn't available on all drives.

Erm bit of an update, the game I've got to burn to disc only has a .iso, no .dvd, is this a big problem?
I don't really fancy making an expensive coaster if it is a bit problem :S

Use ABGX to create a .dvd file, if it isn't your own rip you should always use that program to check it for stealth reasons (also iXtreme 1.6 won't boot up an unstealth game).
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Hmm, he displayed a paste of it using that program (i think), and it said stealth was ok, so i just kinda took his/it's word for it :P
But yeah, i imagine that is sage advice. Thanks!

Hmmm i'm verifying the disc right now, but when it finished burning it said there was a miscompare 2.4x was desired but 2x was achieved (something to that extent anyway), is this an issue?

in img burn logs ??
thats ok dont worry, its just the speed the disk was burnt at, sometimes happens as long as you use good media then it should be fine

Yeah, that's just burn speed like said, nothing to do with the info on the game.

*sigh* I screwed up and won't be able to test it for a while.
Bought a PCMCIA SATA Cardbus and just realised my laptop has an expresscard slot. *cries*.
So i will be testing my new backup once i get an adapter for it :(
