This is my question. I'm having issues actually burning my back ups on Mems (I know you all will say Verts are better, but my buddy has burned plenty of Mems and they work fine, and work fine on mine). I own a Mac, and my dvd burner is...
Firmware Revision: AB09
Interconnect: ATAPI Burn Support: Yes (Apple Shipping Drive)
Cache: 2000 KB
Reads DVD: Yes
CD-Write: -R, -RW
DVD-Write: -R, -RW, +R, +R DL, +RW
Write Strategies: CD-TAO, CD-SAO, CD-Raw, DVD-DAO I got my Mac around 2006, and everything has burned fine in the past (DVD-R/CD-Rs).
After burning with all the different types of 360 Mac burning, with iBurn360 as my primary, some games will run, and some will not. I get the Open Tray error.
So I took those games to my buddies where, those games will also not work on his. The games he burned on his PC, using Cookies, work fine on mine and his flawlessly.
So I decided to Boot Camp Windows 7, and install Cookies and give it a try. Everything burned like normal, but I still get that Open Tray error.
I have the feeling it's my DVD burning drive. I think it doesn't give enough Lead In time for the 360 to pick up on.
I wanted to ask here first before buying a new drive (I would buy the same one my buddy has).
It can still be the media. Memorex is known for having a batch that works fine, and then a batch that doesn't. I have experienced this same issue myself with memorex. Also it could have something to do with your burner going bad. When my pioneer started going out, it started messing up on memorex media. So I tried burning verbatims, they worked for another month or so, and then they started messing up. I switched the burner, and can now burn verbatims no problem. I have found through experience that my pioneer dvr-112 seems to work great with Memorex however. You may want to first try some verbatims, and if that doesn't work, you need a new burner. Make sure to get the verbatims made in singapore.

Thank you! Were you able to burn Memorex on the new burner you got?
I'll try doing a Vert. If it works, than awesome! If not, I'll just get a new HP drive.
