Burning Problems - Xbox 360

I have read around the forum and can find no fixes regarding my problem.
My xbox is flashed to 1.51 iextreme and until recently i have been backing up games and playing with no problems. I have the likes of Fallout 3, pro evo 09 and prototype all working on my xbox with no problems, all burn't from my laptop drive which is now NOT working.
I have tried 3 recent games nfsu, fifa 09 and virtua tennis 09...and when i put in my xbox it just says open tray. I am using verbatim 8x, so i know theres no problems there. I am burning at 2.4x and have tried changing my LG drive to DVD-Rom. All the games are region locked pal and iextreme compatible aswell as stealth patched.
I have also tried variations of the burn speed, tried normally without the DVD-Rom and tried using clonecd. Whats really confusing me is that as of about a week ago i had no problems burning. Also in imgburn the label is showing as 'XGD2DVD_NTSC', just wondering if that is causing problems.
Oh also the layer break is also set and i always use .DVD files...any advice???
Whats really frustrating is that i have wasted 8 good verbatim dl DVD's and im worried im gonna waste more

where are you obtaining the games? this sounds like the problem. 'XGD2DVD_NTSC'

Are you running your backups through ABGX before your burn?
What type of drive do you have, if its a HItachi, its common that they may need a POT Calibration.

Ooh what is this POT calibration...yes i am using a Hitachi drive. I am using AGPX before burning aswell and for some reason my drive is set to region 1 not sure if that makes a difference though as it worked before
actually i believe its LG

i had similar problem with verbatim....srapped 7 out of 10.
what i have done.
upgraded my lg burner firmware
downgraded imgburn to 2.3.2
switched verbatim for rico.
oh yeah, i got an hitachi drive as well.
now work fine.

Verbatim's are the best, they were not your problem.
OP It's probably just a dodgy file, you should consider ripping your own games.

thats the label ntsc games have im guessing, watch pop in a retail game in ur pc drive and it will say that label.

either upgrade ur pc's drive firmware, and upgrade the 360s to 1.6 ixtreme
