So I have an old 2007 zephyr that's been flashed, rrod hit & decided to send it to a "professional" for a supposed reball (lead). Got it back (felt heavier) & worked for about a few months, rrod just hit a second time (0102 secondary error code). Very sad dilemma to have to keep dealing with rrod ;(
Should I buy a fresh & try to reflash, buy preflashed from somewhere, or try another repair by someone?? What do you guys think??
This is the 2nd RRoD from this console so it will likely continue to RRoD (after all, it IS a Zephyr).
If you buy another used one, make sure it's a Jasper. (Best Phat console).
Also keep in mind that the new Slims can be flashed too.
Decisions, decisions......
Myself, I'd get a Jasper or Slim, flash it, and call it a day.
Was thinking the same thing :/
Been out of the scene for YEARS though, hope jungleflasher is easy enough for a jasper board or slim.
Have not been keeping up so I don't know how much harder or complicated it's gotten to flash latest lite touch since I been gone. =(
I'll take your advice & start looking into it though, older boards have always crapped out on me by rrod....tired of dealing with it so soon & often urgh >.<
What eebeejay said. My 360 was doing the same thing as yours- RROD about every 3 weeks or so. I'd been dealing with it for a few months till I finally just said screw it and went to a pawn shop and got a used one for $100. My old 360 has a zephyr and my new one, luckily, came with a Jasper. I have yet to flash it but will probably get around to it next week. It's still pretty easy to flash. There's some great tut's out there to use. Luckily though, both of my drives are BenQ.
