The next Call of Duty game (after Modern Warfare 2) could take place in 1960s Vietnam, if the latest round of internet rumours are true.
According to a "reliable" source wagging his or her mouth to That Videogame Blog, Activision has begun licensing music from the Vietnam War era, as well as Cuban, Soviet Union and African tunes, which could be a bit of a giveaway.
The site claims that Call of Duty: World at War's senior producer Noah Heller is involved with the project, so it looks like Treyarch is once again at the helm.
It's not the most reliable source in the world, but the news is backed up slightly by Treyarch's statement that it's "glad we were able to end [WWII]" in World at War.

Why not the civil war? I need to pack-a-punch a musket and fight for freedom. Wait..that idea sucks.
Anyways, these screenshots are old, and have been found to be fake already. I wouldn't doubt a Vietnam setting for the next game though..

It looks very fake to me sorry guys i am bit of a photoshop person i love to nit pick at things and pictures. the bush they used over the "Call of duty" i have it myself on my computer. "Vietnam" the font is different then "call of duty" and even in the "Vietnam" i can tell what they used to make it look that way it isn't very well done. but i do wish they would make more Vietnam games i had a lot of fun BF Vietnam. i enjoyed the in game music very much i haven't seen a good radio in games years
