Did you download the wrong type of game? Because that's the only time that I could see this being an issue.

I can only find the PAL version of this game i want, so I'm wondering if I could change it to region free or NTSC before I waste my time downloading it

Well, fudge me sideways.

I always thought the point of setting the region in ABG was so it removes the old data and places it with whatever you want, and why I see links for region free games on certain sites. I never download them anyway, but that's interesting!
