Hey guys,
My xbox just took a dump on me after fixing it after RROD and modding it all up. I have been using it for over 6 months and now I am getting 2 red lights with the error code 0013. I have heard of people using pennies on the ram chips to fix this, but im spectacle that it will actually work. Has anyone had success with this?
If not should i just go for a heat gun reflow?

Anything helps, Thanks in advance for all replies.

In the long term i would imagine a reflow to be better. I have personally had ram issues with a 360 which was solved by buying thermal pads (almost identical to the eraser trick) to cover the ram chips and even now that 360 is still going strong. Suppose the sensible thing to do would be to try the thermal pads (penny fix if your a cheapskate :) ) first and then the reflow although im sure many would disagree with me.

The symptoms I had was randomn freezing and i even posted on AD for some advice. Deffo worth a try anyway.

Alright i will try it out thanks.

**update**- i have done the penny trick and my xbox is up and running. We will see how long it will last and if i get another error, i will just go straight to a heat gun reflow.
