Can I flash my sammy ms25 with a SATA / USB adapter cable?

First I would like to say a short something....

I registerd here about 2 years ago to learn how to flash my 360 to play backups. I learned sooo much from all the people here in these very forums....since then my life has changed a lot so I have not been in the "game" much. Well, I'm back...or would like to be, anyways, after 2 years ...here's my question.


I have a pc now without sata cables. My question is, can i update my iXtreme from 1.2 to iXtreme 1.6 by use of a SATA / USB adapter cable like this one? ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812156014 ) Or can I go to my local computer store and grab any old USB/SATA adapter cable? I am able to play all the old games fine, but the newer ones are giving me problems.

after googling and afterdawning for many hours, i still have found no information on flashing w/ sata/usb cable....instead i've found information on getting this... http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=pci+car...+card&_osacat=0 so i guess i've answer my own question.

forget the sata/usb cable...buy the sata pci card ...and then i should be good...right? :D

Yup that card will be fine for flashing! To clear the other question up, you cannot use a SATA to USB Adapter to flash a drive.
