i want to flash my xbox but i dont have a sata card.
i found a cheap one for 15 euro but i heard with some cards you cant flash. so i wanted to ask if i can flash with this card?

I think you're better off with a SATA card with a VIA chipset. only costs around $10.00 shipped.

Can you just use a sata port on your motherboard if it has it or does it have to be a card?

I believe you can use onboard SATA. But I think some are not compatible, like my onboard SATA chipset wouldn't recognize my drive so I went ahead and bought a VIA 6421 PCI card. Try it, it might work.

well i found a sata card with VIA chipset but will the sata card work if i put it in my pc because my pc is old.
my pc has
512mb ram
intel pentium 4 2,4 ghz

sorry im a noob in this stuff
