Brand new to this and have been beating my head through these forms for hours with out results so I thought I would cut to the chase and just ask some of you gurus out there.

I have a Sammy drive flashed with the Kreon firmware. I used this drive in the past for backing up my games and it has worked flawlessly. Just lately I tried to back up a legal copy of left 4 dead left 4 dead 2 and rock band 2, got errors. In xbc I then re-flashed my Sammy drive with what I thought was the latest Kreon firmware but it made no difference.

I haven?t had a need to back up any of the newer games in about 2 years. Can Samsung drives still be used to back up games newer then 2008? Is there a newer firmware/software out there that will get my Sammy to funtion on newer games?

Sorry if I have re-asked this question for the forty billionth times but really couldn?t find a definitive answer and my head hurts.

Thanks for any help that comes my way.

I've stopped using my kreon drive last year after the ban wave, so I'm not sure if it works with the newer games (wave 5 and beyond). Also, the kreon is not capable of ripping the proper security sector files. I switched to ripping with a xbox 360 drive (benq with 0800 firmware) that rips the proper files. I've heard of people ripping with kreon and then patching with abgx, however I'm not sure if this still works or not with the newer games that have AP2.5 or are kinnect games.
