Can someone help me fix my 360's RROD

Hi i have been given an xbox360 and it has RROD and i would like to know if someone can tell me how to do it or link to a site that explains a safe way as most is the bake your 360 witch tends to realese the magic smoke.

Anyway.... You best option is to heat gun it (follow the guide in w00lys sig) and remove the xclamps. Also, make sure you use liquid flux under the GPU & CPU and you should be good to go ;)

Just send it to microsoft if you haven't opened it. Heatgun will give you a month of life maybe.

I did the heatgun fix and lasted longer than a month so far. Also installed the 2nd gen CPU heatsink and re-applied with AS5 thermal paste. So I think with all that should keep it going.

What does liquid flux do for it?

I dont know if i can send it back as it is an original 360 like the ones from the first world launch apprently. and the originals came out in like 2006 and i dont think i have the warrenty anymore.
