I have a Samsung MS25 drive that currently has iXtreme 1.4. I am trying to upgrade to 1.6 because I want to play wave 3 back ups. Can someone please give me quick walk through or show me a noob friendly tutorial?
step1: do you have a via chipset in your desktop pc. if not get one!
step2: i use a program called iprep, use "ground zeros auto xbins downloader" google it, there you can download all you need, iprep f/w. maximus key extractor/patcher.(you can use jungle flasher but ive never used it)
step3: run iprep and load the f/w. if it fail you need the latest "ixdef" file and put it into c/ipre/recorces. then use iprep to put all the files on a usb flash drive. then boot of the flash drive.
step:4 disconect all your drives. then onece booted up plug in your xbox360 drive into the sata and follow the commands. dump your f/w
if you have any problems with picking up your dive try using a differnet sata port on you chipset.
step:5 boot back into windows, use maximus to get your drive key and make a BACK UP! of your firmware. use the key and patch the cfw on your flash drive
step:6 boot of your flash drive and use the commands to flash your xbox360
