Can't find Hitachi 79 on jungleflasher v1.82

Stats
I'm on windows vista 64
Have an intel ICH9R
The disc drive is the hitachi 79fl
I'm connecting the hitachi directly to motherboard with sata, and powering disc drive with xbox power (I don't care about getting banned)
Installed the 3.5 so1 .net framework
Did the whole thing to get portio.64 sys driver installed (it says thanks schtrom when I boot up jungleflasher)

And for some reason I can not get the hitachi drive to show up...I'm not sure what to try next, any help would be appreciated.

i have the same problem sometimes when flashing mine. at what point do you turn on your xbox?

i had the same issue with my hitachi 47 drive, i just used an older version of jungle flasher and it worked fine, i think i used verison 1.78 without issue
