Hello!
I just burnt my Darksiders backup game, I patched it with "360 Waves Patcher" to wave 2. Burnt it with Clone CD !
The game works well when I run it from the DVD, but When I want to istall it on the HDD it stops immadietly at 0% and says that I must clean the disk!
My box is not banned it was never on LIVE, with other game the HDD installig works(GTA IV)!
What's the problem? :S

Seems to me that the patching was probably responsible. And by using patched games, you may not be banned yet, but you will be in the next wave.
$38 on new discs -- Check
$15 on burn after burn that showed as a DVD -- Check
$11 on new laser -- Check
$28 on new multimeter -- Check

If it's stopping immediately at 0% when trying to load on to the hdd, yet is playing fine from the disc, it's obviously not a dirty disc.

The Disk is very clear, not even a fingerprint...maybe it's because of the patch!
I'll try it with other games and let's see what happens!
thanks for replys

I had the same issue. Freshly burned game. Played it, decided to install. Got dirty disk error. Took it out, didnt see anything on the disk. Wiped it down anyway. Disk installed fine...

The usual culprit is either a bad burn or a dirty laser. If opening and closing the tray seems to get the disc to play than that could be just a dirty laser.
