Are you attempting to list a counterfeit or non-authentic item? Are you aware the listing of such items is not allowed on eBay?
If you continue, your listing will be flagged and promptly reviewed. If your listing appears to offer a counterfeit or non-authentic item, it will be ended and your eBay account could be suspended. We may also refer your listing to the relevant company or law enforcement for review.
i just recieved this message when trying to list an xbox
If the item is authentic, we encourage you to provide more information in your listing. If it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity or has a serial number please state this in your listing.
We appreciate your help making eBay an even safer place to trade.
Click here for a window with eBay's policy on counterfeit items.
Click here for a window with About Me pages created by trademark owners.
Warning: Do not click the submit button, unless you know the item is authentic.
Is it because i stated flashed in the description coz that's all i can think it is but i never knew you couldnt, im sure ive seen them on there????

You are selling a device that is able to circumvent copy right protection.

Don't put flashed or modded in the title. Put like "XBOX 360 (Insert motheboard type here) (Insert drive type here) 1.6/1.51". Don't directly put iXtreme FW 1.51 ... just put 1.6 or 1.51, whatever it has.

Eh, I probably would just leave it out of the description. If the person gets it and wants to flash it, they'll find a nice surprise. If they don't want to flash it, then they'll probably never even figure out it can play backup games.

Its still coming up with the same message in ebay and ive removed all traces of dodgy info
It will still allow me to list it but im not sure to hit the submit button now.
I thought it was wired that they could know just by the words but after removing them from the listing i cant figure out why its still saying that.
Think ill stick to my local ad mag lol They've got me scared now :)

This is how i have reworded the listing but i am still getting the message!!
Hello and welcome to my listing for a Perfectly Working Microsoft Xbox 360 console.
This item is in good condition and comes with no Cables or Accessories
It has a "Modified Drive in it", So Yes the box has been opened. (ask for details)
However, this machine has never broke down so has never been repaired for any kind of fault What so ever
I would consider this unit to be ROCK SOLID as it was manufactured on 23/06/2006 and has been going strong ever since!!!
Please ask for any info you require!!
There should be nothing wrong with it?
This is another listing i have scheduled and this dont come up with that message
Hello and welcome to the listing for my Faulty Xbox 360 console.
The console has three red lights and the error code is 0020
I tried doing the x-clamp Fix a few weeks ago but could not get it to work. (maybe you will have better luck)
The drive has been flashed with Ixtreme 1.51 so if you fix it you would be able to play backup game's straight away with no extra modding needed!!!
This listing is for the Console Only, Its does not include Controllers, Cables, Hard Drive or Games.
It is the NON HDMI model and Although the MFD on the case is 30/08/2006, The actual MFD is19/03/2006
This is because i Painted and Modded the case so Im keeping it as a lot of work went into it.
This should not worry the buyer as the replacement case is in pretty good condition and the difference in serial numbers whould only matter if the unit was still under warranty and its Obviously not as the unit has been opened and is past the warranty date.
I have been as honnest as i can about the condition of the console and becuase the item is being sold as faulty......
I will not Accept Returns or Negative Feedback for this item.
If i have forgotten to include any information you feel is relavent, please feel free to ask further questions
Happy bidding
Although im now going to delete the ixtreme bit prior to listing, ebay did not show this warning when i listed the item with ixtreme but will now with a listing that has no mention of anything dodgy??
Im confused?

It's probably the word "modified" that's triggering the warning with the first listing. I wouldn't mention iXtreme though, cos you'll end up getting the listing reported. There's also not much point in saying that you won't accept negative feedback as it's not like you have a choice if someone decides to leave it, lol.

True lol
I removed the word modified and all traces from my listings but it still comes up with that message, think im just going to leave one up there until it sells and then list the other one if it dosnt sell in my local ad mag.
Funny thing is my online ad mag site allows adverts for flashing services yet there funny about what info include as well. I mean i understand the copyright situation but everywhere i seem to look i see adverts selling backup games, moded xboxes and people offering all kinds of dodgy services yet they all seem to be getting away with it.

But a modded box is worth more than a stock box. I'm sure anyboby wants it to be known that it's modded, in order to get more money for it. The question is how can he state that it's modded without directly saying it's modded.
Myself? I haven't sold one in a while, but I do a "lot" of physical mods, along with flashing. I post a pic of the box, and you can always see a Verbatim DVD+R inside of the box. So even without me stating that it's flashed, the buyer can figure that out for themselves. Most of you don't cut windows and so forth, so I'd suggest placing a blank disc in the (open)tray and using that as the descriptive picture. Most buyers will figure it out.

Instead of saying that it is modded, say that is is Back-up capable. That is how I listed my XBOX 360.

havent really read all of the thread, but just say its banned. if you say that, 95% of the people will know that its modded. and those that done, will ask you why its banned, then you say its modded to play burnt games.

I've sold quite a few banned and broken modded Xbox 360's with no problems. I listed them "AS IS" in the title. In the description I stated they were banned or had ix1.5 or whatever if they were broken. It's best to list one like that for a one day auction, because it's not like it's going to sell for that much more if you list it longer. You're just increasing the odds for it to get flagged the longer you list it.
