Hi
First posting so please be kind !!
I have a faulty XboxDVD model TS-H943, basically the drive is dead and looking at the PCB one of the chips is totally fried and i beleive i am unable to therefore get the Key data.
Is there anyway i can replace the drive and get my Xbox working again !!
Have you actually tried to dump the key before you assume the PCB is fried, give it a shot because at this point that's your only hope. Unfortunately without your original drive key your 360 will now assume the role of a DVD player but you won't be able to play any games on it.
Thanks guy's not the answer i was hoping for but unfortuatley expected !!
The drive is dead and hence i cant even 'see' the drive, my only thought is to remove the firmware and what i assume is a flash device as it is surrounded in epoxy from the PCB and try and fit to another drive
Which whilst discusses bricked drives effectively covers what i am trying to do ie. remove and copy the E^2, seems however there is some encryption so a bit of work to get this fixed.
