lol i've dumped it more times and more ways than i can count. none work!
first off, the drive doesnt switch to status 72 right away. i have to power the drive off switch the switch then power it back on. then it is status 72.
then it wont read the flash. so without touching the hardware i restart dosflash. i get status 72. i've tried the dump without hitting the switch and with hitting it and neither dump was good :(
any ideas?
a thing to note: instead of soldering, i put thin copper wire in the holes in the vias. should work.

Budro, more than likely you have a good dump. Coorva is correct. Jungle Flasher simply can't recognize the original 93450C firmware. JF will be updated to read all orig LiteOn firmware soon.
If you are having issues dumping in DOS, try dumping in JF. I've read the Winbond/NEX SPi flash have trouble in DOS.
I would dump the drive twice and then open both up in a Hex Editor to compare, if they match, you have a good dump.
I don't have key locations on hand, but I know that info is in the original thread over at xboxhacker about 6 or 7 pages in.

awesome man, you just saved me so much time! i ended up doing the following to obtain the key:
after i had my dumps (i did 6, 3 were successful), i opened them in hex editor and compared the non-empty ones for validity. then, in JF, i opened the fw as target, not source FW, then it displayed the key. from there you can right click in the target area and click save as dummy.bin and then it will save your key in dummy.bin so you can open as source and automatically spoof to ixtreme!!!!
i hope everyone reads this!!
PS: i did this all the SOLDERLESS way and it worked fine for me!!
thanks!

You didn't have to solder the switch in?

No. To go solderless, do the following:
Take a very, VERY thin piece of copper wire. Now, look very closely at the via's (the pin holes). Within the vias, there are even smaller holes. Stick the copper wire into those tiny holes in the via. Then you can connect the other end of the copper wire to other points you need to connect to. Worked great.
I did have so solder some stuff to my switch, but that's easy. Didn't have to solder a single thing to my dvd drive!

Awesome, good deal. And you didn't have to cut/repair the traces?
