cant play Kinect game all of a sudden. Wants update again...

So have a old hitachi drive and has worked fine for some time with the new kinect dashboard. Been playing Kinect and backups for it for few weeks now. all of a sudden today tells me i need an update to play them? why? Im not connected to the internet in any way and its only the kinect games that are doing it. other new games like Assassins Creed work fine still.

Any one have any idea why its asking me and how to just update the damn thing? Keep in mind this 360 has been banned for over a year now.

FALSE ALARM!!

ok just so ppl know for what ever reason need the HD plugged into 360 for kinect to see update. Worked fine on all other games but noticed my HD was unplugged(girlfriend was painting and moved it and it must have popped out) but soon as it back in its working fine.
