CK3 Pro Kit Bad serial Data error Liteon 74850

I am having issues retreiving the key from my Liteon 74850c. I am using Team Xecuter's CK3 Pro connectivity kit (probe) with the Via card on a Pc running XP. I have followed the tutorial and disabled the VIA drivers etc etc, but when I power cycle the drive and connect the probe and click "get key" In Jungleflasher I keep getting the "Bad Serial Data" error and cannot get any further. If anyone could shed any light on this for my I would be mos grateful.

So, have you turned on the drive with it half-open, hit get key, powercycle the drive and keep the tray half-open? If so, make sure your probe r707.

Hey menace, thanx for your suggestion. It was my fault it wasnt working. I had the wrong COM port selected.lol. Kind of unsure what im doing but hey, I'll get there
