I'm looking between two connectivity kit, and I was wondering how do I know which one I need? I understand the lite has a serial DB-9 connection, but where is this on my PC? Is the serial DB-9 connection the same thing old monitors used to use? (is it plugged in back of PC or inside on motherboard or something?)
Ummm this may be a dumb question, but if I have the serial connection and I'm using CK lite, Do I still need to open the PC up? The reason I ask is because I have two PC:
1 PC has 32 bit OS, has serial, but doesn't have SATA (so I'd need via sata card?)
2nd PC is 64 bit OS, no serial, but has SATA
So when I connect the drive with a CK, am I just connecting it 1 way into the PC or will I have to connect it via serial/usb AND open up PC to connect SATA/use VIA card?
futher you need a VIA VT6321a PCI card in your PC as a add-on, if your DVD drive that has to flash is a LiteON. then you could use the PC with the serial connection and CK3 Lite ..
