Hi, I am new to the XBOX 360 and I just reached level 2 on cod4, while playing with a friend on line we ended up in a room with unlimited ammo. My friend says its a modded room quick get out. When I backed out my xp to rankup starts increasing by alot. I now need 10 + point to reach the next level. Can anyone tell me what happened and how I can stop whatever is wrong.

nothing will happen top you if you join a modded lobby so just leave your stats the way they are

you only get flagged/banned if you JTAG and host these lobbies on live

My stats are fine but I can never rank up because the points I need keep going up. I am prestige 5 rank 1 and to rank up to 2 I need to get 10 million points now. I was hoping to make it to pres 10 and try to get gold guns but that will never happen if I can't rank up.

bighead...thats not entirely true....there have been many many people have their GT's banned due to being in a modded lobby.

for the OP, if you should get into a modded lobby again, the worst thing you can do is immediately back out. this is because backing out within a minute or so of the match starting is what normal lobby payees do. to make it look like you were accidentally put into/invited/joined a modded lobby you should just spend the entire time in there.

finally, if your stats are normal (time played, total XP, kills, ect) then you should be 'safe' as you wont be found with a 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 point lead in the lobby boards.

have you ever joined a modded lobby in MW2/COD4/Black Ops before? and did you stay for a period of time before leaving or did you leave straight away

joined on in mw2 by accident as this person did. stayed the entire time. luckily it wasnt a extreme stats lobby, just super jump, speed, and autoaim. was kind of fun though.

from what ive read/seen/heard though, is that most of the people that enter and leave quickly end up getting their GT banned or gamerscore reset while those that stayed were left alone.

i thought that was only with glitches in the game code and i heard that they did it when MW2 came out and everyone kept doing the javelin glitch and they were banning their gamertags for it

Because my points to rank up to the next level keep going up I will never be able to rank up again. Get my gold guns etc... Is there a way to fix my problem?

unless you can prestige or get a stat resetting utility im afraid you stuck with them unless you switch live accounts
