Hi all. I've been doing some searching for a good solution. I believe that I have the Benq drive. Pulling the front off and looking in I can see two yellow wires and the tray is identical. My question is, what have you found to be the best way to mod the drive for backups while still retaining the ability to get on Live without an overwhelming risk of the console being banned? I know that no matter what, there is always the chance. Just looking to see what method everyone else is using.

Thanks infam0us! Looking around now. Does anyone use external access ports for easy accessibility? It doesn't look like pulling it apart is that big of a deal. Still curious though.

There is no "easy" way to do it. there is ONE way to do it. that is to take the 360 apart, take the drive apart, solder for a full firmware dump, connect the drive to your PC, and use jungle flasher to flash the firmware or use dosflash or some other program to flash it.

No, he has a BenQ, you dont have to take the drive apart. Please do not answer the question if you dont know the answer!

But I DO know the answer, so don't yell at me (as I'm quite sensitive). I seem to have read his original post better than you did. He said he "believes" it's a BenQ. But he saw "yellow" wires. Therefore it's a Liteon that he has mistaken for a BenQ and he's gotta take the drive apart to flash. So please don't chastise me for giving him correct advice.

RE-read below if neccessary.
