I guess it's all relative. I am an impatient cheap-skate that didn't want to spend money or wait for a shipment, so I made my own key reader for a few bucks using spare parts and stuff from radio shack. It was a fun project. I actually made it with my dad, who got a kick out of it since he was Mr. Commodore 64 haxx0r back in the day.

If you are rolling in the dough and you like to buy toys and spend money, or you plan on doing it professionally or something (which I was not), then go ahead and get kit.

Like they say, opinions are like... oh, well, forget it.

Well I like to save money and if what you make can do the job you did really good, I would like to do one but idk how i would do it and if I do i would like the light to go on when it touch the board(is cool looking lol).
What I want to know is what is really worth it. ppl say:

"Ck3 is a knock off of the xtractor pro

You don't need any special adapters to flash a hdd they are standard Sara hard drives "

stractor pro is only $35 + spare $10 so $45 + shipping
Connectivity Kit V3.3 PRO is $49.99 spare is $12 so $62+ shipping

Unless you do the spare.

the Connectivity Kit V3.3 PRO have that HDD adapter that you can flash your HDD.

"Team Xecuter have also bundled in a FREE SATA hard drive adapter for the Xbox 360, so now you can hook up your hard drive to your PC without opening your Xbox 360 case in conjunction with freely available software such as Xplorer 360."

Sound to me that the free item is for your dvd drive so you dont have to open the xbox to flash it again... or no?

Sounds to me like it is a hard drive adapter, since that is what they said.

I guess it turns the MS proprietary HDD case port --> standard SATA. IMHO opening that HDD case isn't a big deal.

I made my spear for like $15. If you don't know how and can't be bothered to learn how to solder, then you don't have a lot of choice on which to get.

Hey guys, I figured that this thread helped me, I can help you guys. My USB Xtractor came in and I was able to successfully flash my LiteOn drive without having to buy a connectivity kit or any other sort of power unit. I have no idea why we are told we need them, completely useless waste of $60. If your going to open up your 360 in the first place, maybe you should see that these devices are COMPLETELY USELESS. Powered it through the 360 itself and had it hooked up to my mobo through SATA. It cost me $35 CND total for the USB Xtractor and it works amazingly, 100% fool proof. I also used the tut from Jungle Flasher themselves, which is the most helpful out of all on the net (it even tells you how to do everything when poered through 360 :)). The only trouble I had was I needed to install XP SP2 on some free space I had, running Windows 7 x64 and flashing is damn near impossible on it.

Hope this helps you all out

Thanks, gonz.

Yeah, the connect kit thing is a myth perpetuated by the ignorant and trollish, and of course by the company that makes it.

Glad you got sorted.
